Susan’s formal training was a TAFE Qualification through the Adult Education Program. Her experience has included: Running a catering company, owning and operating a restaurant, providing desserts for Buffalo Restaurant, managing 3 food outlets in the Myer Centre, Catering Manager Woolworth Rundle Mall and Food Preparation Manager for Drakes Foodland.
Further career highlights include:
Community engagement through actioning a skill training program for disadvantaged students in the food industry, Program manager for Hospitality Training Company, Workplace Assessor, Food Consultant and Lecturer for WEA and Cookery Judge for Royal Show.
Specific highlights are cooking and serving Queen Elizabeth, Sultan of Brunei, Julia Gillard and winning a national recipe competition.
Susan was a state finalist in the Community Achievement Awards and is a member of Zonta International as well as a Board Member for Adelaide Flinders.
She has been a volunteer for MOW Brighton for 5yrs and is currently Kitchen Supervisor and a member of the Branch Operations & Services Advisory committee.
